After graduating Cornell (in the 1920's) he took a job in Seattle, as a journalist for the "Seattle Times", but then he left Seattle. He went to New York and took a job that he really didn't like, but he got to go on boating trips with his friends. in 1925, Andy wrote in a new magazine called "The New York Times," soon his boss got an editor for him. She was a married woman named Katherine Sergeant Angell. Later she got divorced and married Andy White. In 1952 "Charlotte's Web". Andy also wrote "The Trumpet Swan" and "Stuart Little."
In the 1950's, a T.V. producer let "Charlotte's Web," become a movie. They had a son named Joel.
In 1977, Katherine died. Since Andy missed the funeral, he brought flowers to her grave every day. Andy got extremely ill, and stayed in bed. His son Joel checked on him every day until he died.
On October 1, 1985, at the age of 86, he past away.

Changing Years
He had little changing, he worked hard, he tried to do his best and thought that he wasn't good enough, so in 1917, he went off for Cornell University. That place was good for a writer. He quickly went up the ranks, and

Early Life of Elwyn Brooks White
He was born on July 11, 1899, Mount Vernon, New York, a suburb in Manhattan. He was the youngest of six kids of Samuel Tilly White and Jessie Hart White. When Elwyn was growing up, (like most kids)
he didn't like school. He had a canoe at his family summer house in Maine. He loved Boats, to play with animals and to read and write. He won several Magazine awards before graduating school.
